Monopoly has been around for 85 plus years. Kind of goes without saying that some of the elements within the game are outdated. Which is why Hasbro, the longtime publisher of the game, is changing some of the game’s Community Chest cards.
The classic version cards featured things like receiving a ‘tax refund’ or ‘winning a beauty contest.’ Hasbro is conducting a ‘challenge’ online to determine to update the cards.
There’s a total of 16 pairings you’ll need to choose from to help make up the new set. Some of the options include:
- You donate blood. There’s free cookies (collect)
- You donate your birthday money to a community center. Keep a little for yourself (collect)
- Organize a family reunion (collect)
- Your fuzzy friends at the animal shelter will be thankful for your donation (pay)
- You organize a bake sale for you local school (collect)
- Blasting music late at night? Your neighbors do not approve. (Got directly to jail. Do not pass go.)
